The Preble County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (MR/DD) is located at 201 East Lexington Road, Eaton, Ohio and is responsible for the coordination and management of services and programs that serve Preble County Citizens with mental retardation and/or developmental disabilities. The board operates under federal, state, and local statute and rules to provide these services.

The Board is comprised of seven members who serve on a volunteer basis. Five members are appointed by the Preble County Commissioners and two by the Probate Judge. All members must be interested in providing services to enhance the lives of people with mental retardation or developmental disabilities. At least two members must be parents of individuals who qualify for services. The board conducts its business at regularly scheduled monthly meetings which are open to the public and are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the Lexington Road facility.
